The dependents of the insured in Categories 1 to 3, and 6 are prescribed as follows:
The insured's spouse who is not employed.
The insured's lineal blood ascendants who are not employed.
The insured's lineal blood descendants within second degree of relationship who are either under twenty years of age and not employed, or are over twenty years of age but incapable of making a living, including those who are in school without employment.
The lineal blood descendants within second degree of relationship of the insured, who are over twenty years old and not employed, may subscribe to this Insurance as dependents, if they satisfy any of the following conditions:
Newly graduated from school, who may then be insured for one year from the end of the relevant academic year.
Discharge from compulsory military service or from military-substitute service, who may then be insured for one year from the date of discharge.
If a person is qualified as a dependent of more than two insured, he/she shall subscribe to this Insurance as the dependent of either one of them. To subscribe as a lineal blood dependent, he/she shall be affiliated to the insured who is the closest lineal blood. People who are unable to subscribe to this Insurance affiliated with their closest lineal blood but meet special conditions defined by the Competent Authority, nonetheless, may subscribe to this Insurance affiliated with the insured , who have the support duty. When the dependent is both the spouse and lineal blood relative of the insured within first degree of relationship he/she shall select one to subscribe to this Insurance.
Incapability of making a living refers to any one of the following situations:
The interdiction is not yet terminated.
Holding Physically or Mentally Disability Certificates and are unable to support themselves.
Being qualified as severely injured or ill are unable to support themselves.
